tech tw*tter mysteriously silent about our ozempic (wegovy) shortage due to increased demand around the weight loss trend. ozempic is a diabetes drug that slows digestion down. which means waste more likely to impact your colon/seep into colon wall.

Told friends in tech about this in 2021, casted this in 2022, and end of 2023 they finally updated the warning label.

All I can say is Silicon Valley knows very very very little about health. It is sad.

there is no free lunch in biology, but tech people with no bio understanding repeatedly get convinced there is and we just need to try harder

when I didn't know better I used v1 Soylent as meal replacer up to 2 meals a day and it DESTROYED my gut health

in hindsight (and one bio degree later) it's very clear to me why a hyper processed diet like that will result in gut issues but i still get in arguments because nutrition research is trash and there's almost nothing you defensibly point to that is generally agreed on that supports basically any statement about what food is or is not healthy
