I suspect my company is planning to part ways with me in a month or two. No rush and low key still figuring if itay be a good moment to focus on building my own projects but if anybody was looking for a python expert, junior zk researcher, dev generalist, technical co-founder, or a tech lead (maybe a fractional CTO, not sure if that's for me) please feel free to DM me or look me up, I'm public (my professional profiles are not updated yet but should explain my experience well enough).

Why do you suspect so? Just ask them

Well, we had a discussion about progress and expectations and they demoted me to, like, a regular coder and I'd say they are probably aware of the problems and might try to make changes in the team and they seem to ignore me and I've seen LI posts for a leadership position without details from one of the founders. (Could be for a different project, I don't want to ask, it doesn't really matter - they are very unlikely to find anyone to pick up this project and make a short-term difference and I don't plan to go malicious, it will be a nice professional transition if they decide to go through with it.) Ultimately the question is whether I think the project is going to be successful and good for my CV and I have my PMF doubts (even though I am motivated to make it happen.) If something good comes along around now it might make things simpler for everyone. If not I'll probably just hack my own projects and maybe do a EF internship (before getting this job appeared my thought was to become a core dev.)

Sorry about that, tbh I feel like employment is a scam cause it means your future is in someone else hands. Myself I got laid off abruptly at a really tricky period in my life but I was able to bounce back and you will too

It kinda is, yeah, but then again that's just the price we pay for not taking more responsibility and risks. I figured that going completely solo is probably not the way for me (I have low bullshit tolerance level) but maybe with a good co-founder or two I might be able to bring some cool project to fruition one day. We'll see in any case, I know I have the chops to do some great stuff in the right company.
