Rant: Being a mentor at hackathons is becoming really depressing. The amount of people vibecoding and not knowing wtf they’re doing at all is *insane* and the fact that AI barely understands how blockchain interactions work makes it even worse. And then at 4am when everything breaks and they are too tired to prompt properly anymore they become moody and expect you to fix it for them. Ugh.

I feel that AI has made people so lazy to think. And it takes out the fun out of hackathons.

I had no experience or training except a few months of code academy. Since October, I’ve vibecoded (Next JS / VS Code) six functional minters, a staking app (still live) and a marketplace that (worked perfectly for a couple of months, now completely fucked) on the @thirdweb sdk. Totally agree with the above sentiment. mrbd-pixel.world stake-pixel.world trade-pixel.world Lately I’ve been really-really enjoying tinkering with html/css/js (web2) apps/ websites and feel like that this is a good lane atm. Everything doesn’t need to be onchain always. mrbriandesign.com mukimu.xyz basedwhere.world
