China 🇨🇳 has quietly exempted about 25% of imports from the U.S. (equivalent to approximately $40 billion) to ease trade tensions. The list of exemptions is expanding, recently including U.S. ethane, some semiconductor products, and pharmaceuticals. 

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated: if the U.S. wants to negotiate a trade agreement, the door is still open; but if the U.S. wants to fight, they will fight to the end. 

The U.S. 🇺🇸 has also taken similar actions, and despite tough rhetoric, practical actions indicate that both sides are looking for ways to cool down the trade war.
