In the past 40 days, the national fund of Bhutan (DHI) has quietly sold 2,584 BTC, raising approximately 248 million USD. The country's Bitcoin balance has decreased from 10,070 to 7,486 BTC (equivalent to 720 million USD). 

The government stated that the proceeds from the sale will be used to expand Bitcoin mining farms and to cover healthcare and civil servant salaries. Nevertheless, Bhutan remains the fourth largest holder of Bitcoin in the world, after the United States, the United Kingdom, and North Korea.
