🇺🇸#Crypto SEC Chair Paul Atkins announced that the agency is working on an “innovation exemption” tailored for DeFi, intended to ease regulatory requirements for launching on-chain products. SEC crypto lead Hester Peirce added that while developers should not be held accountable for the misuse of open-source code, centralized entities cannot sidestep regulation simply by labeling themselves as decentralized.
