🍃 June 3, 2025 — Daily Topic THE SATIPAṬṬHĀNA SUTTA — THE ROOTS OF MINDFULNESS The Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta (Pali; Sanskrit: Smṛtyupasthāna Sūtra) is one of the most foundational teachings on meditation in both Theravāda and Mahāyāna traditions. The Buddha taught: “Whoever earnestly practices the Four Foundations of Mindfulness for seven years, seven months, or even seven days, may realize the Noble Fruits.” ⸻ 🌱 The Four Foundations: 1. Mindfulness of the Body (breathing, walking, posture, physical form) 2. Mindfulness of Feelings (pleasant, unpleasant, or neutral sensations) 3. Mindfulness of Mind (awareness of mental states—agitated, calm, wholesome, unwholesome) 4.
