I have a deep amount of respect for all the founders and builders betting big on the mini-app thesis. We haven't quite seen it pan out in its entirety yet but its without a doubt the foundation for a new generation of crypto products and services and will inevitably lead to many apps that onboard millions of new users. Keep fighting - your time in the sun will come.

it takes a lot of conviction in farcaster to go all-in on a miniapp. hope it works out for everyone

No one is saying go all in on mini apps. They are great for top of funnel / earlier stage iteration. The reality is most app builders have a hard time getting users. Much easier to do with mini apps to start.

+1 on this logic and agreed on there not being a mandate to go all in on mini apps. What I've noticed is that so many builders here have oriented their entire career and network around crypto that they're almost reliant on getting distribution within crypto to have a pulse. Mini-apps to me represent that pulse and it almost feels like you get to piggyback off Farcaster (hopefully) bringing enough new people onchain that you can reach people you otherwise wouldn't be able to based on your pre-existing network alone
