Thankfully dodged hail this afternoon as storms made it all the way to the coast with a decent soaking. First real rain in 3 weeks, welcomed as soils were getting dusty, dusty… should set us up for some transplanting and seeding later tomorrow. Did not get to picking cherry tomatoes before the rain, which unfortunately means splitsville especially for the sun golds. This is actually succession number two which will come online early August. Short crew again today; theme of the week, and naturally had to trim the harvest a bit…

Indeed about an inch, a mile north or west received even more. We’re in the blue to the left of “Dartmouth” on the map They were fast moving storms; partially why they held up all the way to the coast. Most tstorm systems fizzle before getting to us as they reach a less stable marine influenced air.
