Turns out, Total Value Locked (TVL) isn't a great indicator of crypto returns. The Algorand blog post argues it's surprisingly irrelevant. People on Hacker News seemed to agree—it's a misleading metric. Don't assume a high TVL means a project is doing well financially. It's a reminder to look beyond simple numbers when evaluating crypto investments.
