10 years late to the Nest train but digging it. Picked up two temp sensors for the colder areas of the house. Ideally we can do different zones in the future (planning to do heat pump) but this is cool for now even with our ancient heating system.

Since picking one up when they came out I have always had one, but now I am curious about Ecobee. What made you pick Nest over anything else?

Nothing special. I had an ancient nest in this house when I moved in. Decided to just keep it nest. Ecobee does seem cool too!

i’m in self hosted land world with my smart home (home assistant), and ecobee works completely locally whereas nest does not, so i’m pretty happy with ecobee
