Flying to SF today for the first time in a while. Any recs on hotels near Union Square?

Building a little space at /thenextwave and watching everything on /videolab.

Oh cool. May check that one out later in the trip. Ended up getting a deal at Hotel Zetta for the first couple days.

The Fairmont is my go-to recommendation. It’s close to yet removed enough from Union Square to feel safe and peaceful. It’s also historic, which is nice if you’re into that (I am). But the interior may feel a bit stuffy if you’re not.
