is there a way to remove someone from following you without blocking them? bc i think it’ll be a great feature to help people curate who interacts with their content. can’t stop people from being weird but can stop them from being weird around you.

my suggestion is to mute those accounts! that’s what I do, I’m very liberal with the mute button

oh! i had no idea you get more points the less followers you have, that makes a lot more sense. just the presence of weirdos makes things a tad uncomfortable but i completely understand:)

Currently no because the algorithm is fixed based on how little people follow you

If people could delete their followers at this current junction, we’d have people gaming the Rewards in that way

the way that farcaster works is different to how twitter or facebook works, e.g the owners cant ban anyone all that they can do is hide their replies from you via this specific website. so when you 'block' someone it only prevents them from messaging you specifically via the farcaster app or website not any other that someone else has built

okay care to explain this in layman terms?

nope not possible at the moment due to the protocol works. Even blocks are client only, so they can still comment via other clients.

Totally agree, a “remove follower” feature without blocking would be a powerful middle ground. You can’t control weird behavior, but you can choose your proximity to it. Quiet boundaries are underrated.
