farcaster culture is developers, crypto, and hanging out url/irl even the best content creators on the internet would be appealing to a hyper-niche group the incentive for them to create on farcaster has to be more than *launch a coin* so what am i missing? p.s. i talk this out bc i really am trying to understand what i don't understand about the current narrative cycle we're in

honestly i think the network just needs time. the way im looking at it, the DAU’s love it here for the most part, yes its hyperniche but you also don’t become X overnight

yeah, but X got scale before people even had an idea of the creator economy creators could potentially migrate to farcaster (*big* if) but what's stopping meta, google and tiktok from increasing creator payouts to bring them back? those first two are trillion+ dollar companies with insane distribution (i.e. basically everyone on the planet)

that’s why i don’t think creator payouts should be the sole (or even major) incentive to convince people to create here. most major creators do not have a singular platform, it’s as simple as including farcaster in their rotation. in fact; the main sources of income for creators (brand sponsorships) are next to absent here. i don’t think this app can’t compete on that level just yet, like you mentioned, competitors have infinitely higher volume and reach. i will say a major hindrance is that crypto news and mainstream news rarely mix, and at the end of the day farcaster is a crypto social. i think a major (and severely under-marketed) selling point of farcaster is the culture, there’s not one kinder space on the internet imo. if that can be fostered and marketed, it might work.
