in this book ‘The Will of the Many’ the majority of the population essentially cedes half their will and their life force to someone superior (has to be done voluntarily) to them, of course the system is unjust and the majority is oppressed. now here’s the catch, a school of people believes the majority is as complicit in their own oppression as the minority is in oppressing them. so my question is this, are the commons to be held responsible for obeying a system that oppresses them. does their obedience make them complicit?

The system doesn’t make it fair, because even if it seems to be their choice. The system was built to take advantage of that.
