It started off as a joke. I didn’t even mean to delete it.
So many times I wrote a message. Reread it. Edited it. Stared into blank space.
Then deleted it.
I’ve been off social media for a few months for a couple of reasons I hope you won’t judge me for:
1. The past 5 years of my life have felt like a social obligation because of my social vocation. I needed to breathe.
2. I realized I hadn’t been bored in a long time. I always had something to do. Not work, but a video to watch or post to engage in, by the swipe of a scroll. I needed to reclaim my brain.
3. I wanted to focus on building out a company that would actually change lives for years. became my main priority. We accomplished more in 3 months than we did in nearly 2 years.
