Your leadership style isn’t a medical diagnosis. It’s not fixed. It’s a pattern—and patterns can change.
Try this: Diagram your next meeting. Who speaks? How often? What kinds of questions or comments?
AI can help. Or go old-school and chart it by hand.
Then ask yourself: How do you show up? What do you want to shift?
Here’s one way to practice shifting:
- If you lead with analysis – loosen your grip. Make a call without all the data.
- If you’re expressive and talkative – pause. Listen first, then ask a question.
- If you're direct and action-oriented – slow down. Ask about impact, not just output.
- If you're creative and nonlinear – share the al-dente thought. Speak before it’s fully cooked.
Leadership starts with noticing. Then choosing differently.
It’s a great day to be coachable.
