Self-custody prevents remote seizure, but does not solve for physical seizure. Any world where you are worried about remote seizure, the risk of physical seizure will likely increase as well.

If I had a bunch of valuable assets in my house (which I don’t!) and someone stole some of them, I probably wouldn’t publicize the fact that I have a bunch of valuable stuff and bad security.

(shrug) I don’t know. Personally, have heard about this happening 10ish times and half of those were verifiable. YMMV.
