so it’s easier for a smaller account to climb than it is for a big account

yes, it matters if big accounts engage with you (like any social app)

and also: a 100 follower account getting 25 likes climbs the leaderboard faster than a 10k follower account getting the same engagement

tldr - just post a lot and hope something hits :)
