at my edge esmeralda talk, i asked the audience to close their eyes and think about someone they care about who isn't feeling well afterwards I gave out paper and envelopes so they can write to the person they thought of I'm repeating the same at human tech week, this time with a short printed guide too!

sometimes when we care about someone who isn't feeling well we immediately want to share resources or news about their illness because we care, but it may not be a good first step (esp unsolicited!! and i've definitely accidentally done the same!!) instead we can offer to care and listen first, then assess whether resources are requested
