baby boy asked me to lay down next to his crib and hold his hand at bedtime. his tiny fingers stayed curled around mine until he was fast asleep. this is the littlest he’ll ever be, and moments like this remind me to appreciate every second, regardless of anything else happening in my life.

I always tell my wife that right now, we are his absolute, most favorite people in the entire world. He wants to spend every waking moment with us, give us hugs and kisses, chat with us and play silly games. That won't always be the case, so let's soak it up and try to be present for every moment of it.
