Farcaster seems like a hard sell to normies but the base app doesn’t

i've been pitching base app to people as non crypto but just cool niche social network with mini apps but then i send them links to base app and it's all crypto and money focused on the marketing speech haha

It’s clear to me that they’re going after TikTok and instagram creators and that it’s about making money

It’s very different because not every post is collectible. It’s not *alllll* about financialization. You can just post stuff and make friends

i still don’t quite get that aspect of it but i wish them well, zora tried that too on tiktok ads and had a ton of comments like “wait so how do i actually make money?” — i don’t think coins are the correct approach to this for mass adoption
