Need your honest opinion on this, Farcaster fam. 😹🤲
My friend is a makeup artist. A client booked her for studio makeup at 11:30AM on a Thursday. The charge was ₦15K, and she asked the client to pay ₦8K deposit, with the usual policy sent (which includes a ₦5K fee for lateness).
The client sent only ₦7K, and because she was a first-timer, my friend let it slide and told her to bring the remaining balance on the day.
Now here’s where it gets wild 😭
The client didn’t show up at 11:30AM. She arrived by 1:30PM, a whole 2 hours late, and that delay made my friend miss another client she was meant to do makeup for at 1:30 that same day.
When my friend asked for the ₦5K late fee, the client refused. So my friend cleaned the makeup and told her to leave the studio.
The client said she won’t leave without her ₦7K deposit, and now she's threatening to report her to the police. 😭
Who’s wrong here? Is my friend wrong for standing by her policy, or did she take it too far? 11 replies
