I find myself getting more frustrated with my older son because 

A. He is exactly like me


I’m aware of it and catch myself some times, but it’s a constant battle

It’s as though I punish him for being the things I don’t like about myself

As long as you let him see love is your corrections and punishment, it's fine. I haven't related to my Dad much since my teenage years until now (early twenties). Not because I don't love him nut because it doesn't seem natural, and that is due to harsh corrections and punishments he gave me throughout my childhood.
