How I ended up eating Bánh Khọt in Vietnam today, Sunday, Oct 18.
This wasn't the plan at all. After a month in Japan under the excuse of ETHGlobal, I was supposed to fly Tokyo–Mumbai, spend two weeks in Goa, and finish at DevCon and ETHMumbai.
But after connecting to a few public Wi-Fi spots, my bank texted asking if I’d subscribed to The New York Times. I said no, so they canceled my credit card. Well, shit happends right? I kept going: Hiroshima, Miyama, rode 70 km on a bike across 6 islands in Onomichi, went to Naoshima's art island, and met the artisans in Kanazawa.
The real catch came at the Tokyo airport: my Indian visa was inactive because the payment had been canceled 5 minutes after I made it when my card was blocked. Of course i thought all the evisa proces was OK, but didn't verify. So, in the ariport with 10 minutes to decide what to do, I bought the first ticket to Ho Chi Minh City, Spaniards don't need a visa for Vietnam.
