n. the rare relief of finding someone who can match your conversational velocity. who catches your half-finished jokes mid-air and volleys them back with interest, who sees the same absurd humor lurking in grocery store checkout lines and esoteric internet zeitgeist, creating a feedback loop of understanding that makes you feel less like you're speaking a dialect that only you were taught

n. the quiet, expansive ache of witnessing a love so mutual, so unreservedly supported by everyone around it, that it opens a hidden room inside you. not of envy, but of aching belief. A sensation like being alone in a cathedral warmed by stained glass sunlight, where everyone is praying not for themselves, but for the radiance of someone else’s joy. A momentary possession by hope, when love no longer feels rare, just waiting.
