Lately I’ve had some free time so I've been watching the movies being mentioned this award season. - Sing Sing was incredible. I really liked it - Anora was great. The praise is deserved. - A Different Man was a surprise—very inventive, super well acted, and right up my alley thematically but I know not everyone will love it. - But, so far, Nickel Boys is in a class of its own. It feels unfair to compare it to other movies. It’s like Ramel Ross is making art in a medium other people don’t even have access to yet. I imagine that this will influence a lot of filmmakers in years to come.

Does anyone use Ladder app? I just joined on the rec of one of my best friends with whom I’ve trained forever. She suggested a “team” for bodybuilding I later realized had “a glute focus.” It’s been GREAT but weird because it’s like me and 500 women banging out chest, back, hip thrusts, and lunges.

Cross-casting this from writing. This is an essay I wrote about the eye-opening and mind-expanding journey I had learning about Russian Cosmism, the philosophy which contended that we should colonize space and make everyone immortal. https://warpcast.com/charliedbecker/0x6595f34c
