Haven't listened to this pod yet, but the clip came across my feed. Was interesting to hear how ready/prepared China's manufacturing base is to switch to War Mode if need be. It seemed like that was really what boosted the US in WWII, but also seems like something we've lost since that...and thats...scary.

Hmm. Yea that's a good point. You need factories to retool.
