One of my favorite things when visiting friends is waking up to freshly made coffee. Using the "delay" feature I can wake up to freshly made coffee everyday!

I forgot about this tiny Mr. Coffee machine I had from college in a box. There's an added bonus for me looking forward to the great beans (ceremonycoffee.com now) and fresh cup in the morning when going to bed.

- A hemp filter is great in both pour overs and a coffee maker because it's reusable and if you use good beans adds flavor like cooking with a cast iron pan
- Pour overs are great for exploring the full flavor of beans. When my friend and I did a blind taste test though we discovered the beans matter more for flavor than the brewing method. It's all about the beans.

Still looking forward to coffee in the morning. Mr Coffee has been cancelled though.

Thank you @nocrimez.eth for pointing out it's made mostly of plastic and likely is emitting a lot of microplastics by heating up water.

Back to the good ol' metal kettle for hot water and hemp filter pour over. I'll look into upgrading to a porcelain and|or metal pour over filter.

I'd hope high quality paper filters like Hario don't have microplastics in them.

I use the paper filter from Hario but have never really looked into how safe they are, I just like the way it all tastes.

Thanks! I think you still need to use some filter on top of the V60?

I'll have to research my hemp filter more to make sure the material is safe.
