Crimecoins are free to create with little repercussions. Tokens which are well designed to be critical components of protocols with thoughtful flywheels created by teams trying to improve the Internet are very expensive to create and come with risk. This is the regulation we need to fix. Who cares if memecoins are beanie babies? Can we fix the really broken stuff?

Completely agree. The cost structure of crypto regulation is backward. Low-effort scam tokens pop up daily with zero barriers. Serious projects trying to build real infrastructure face legal uncertainty, high compliance costs, and unnecessary risk. We don’t need a crackdown on memecoins—we need a framework that rewards real builders and filters out bad actors. Let’s fix what’s actually broken.
