The connector snaps onto the cable attachment pretty firmly, so you have to apply a lot of force to disconnect it, but the connector on the cable end is usually pretty delicate. So removing one of them often results in either a damaged fingernail from trying to carefully pry it apart or a broken connector from forcing it too hard.

And that's to say nothing of the fact that both terminals are right next to each other, making it easy to short out if you don't store them carefully.

Pure asshole design.
