The U.S. gun death rate was 10.6 per 100,000 people in 2016, the most recent year in the study, which used a somewhat different methodology from the CDC. That was far higher than in countries such as Canada (2.1 per 100,000) and Australia (1.0), as well as European nations such as France (2.7), Germany (0.9) and Spain (0.6). 🤗 https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2025/03/05/what-the-data-says-about-gun-deaths-in-the-us/

these numbers are misleading for a few reasons population count and culture are important factors what about gun related crime not just deaths? I know anecdotally in Australia, if you mess around with the wrong crowds these days, you're much more likely to see a gun. I've had them offered at very cheap prices

I'm not sure what is misleading here. Saying guns will resolve non-gun violence? (In this case the gun was false) Or looking for non-letal firearm data? Here you go https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_violence_in_the_United_States Also, this isn't an "europoooor" problem 😓 https://warpcast.com/konohime.eth/0x96d25ddb
