they don't want to give you a base app invite code because they scared of your power

Do you think so? It feels like the early days of Lenster. They gatekept the app while saying they were « spreading » But there’s a clear misalignment. The so-called “OGs” want to make sure they’re in top position before opening it up to others. I’m pretty disappointed by this choice from Base. I’m not a beggar. I’m not going to ask for a f***ing code. I’d love to test the app, but I’m not going to fake friendships just to get access. The whole thing feels like high school. I’ve been on this app for over a year and I genuinely enjoy it…except for this part. Some people are clearly privileged, and others get dumped on every time a new financial feature launches. At some point, I stopped using tipping (in any form), because it obviously acts as a value extraction from the bottom to the top.

the main point of invite only is to create fomo, it's for people that weren't already on farcaster and new to crypto "the everything app" is completely antithetical to crypto. but coinbase x consensys x Ethereum are attached at the hip lately, I think Ethereum was allowed to happen just so suits could swoop in later (now) and create the future of giant brand conglomerates I'm very at odds with all of this tbh
