My little sister did this herself for last month Eid al Adha.. she’s been practicing on her own hand..


Since our mom is Muslim and dad is Buddhist we get to celebrate both cultures.. which means double the fun, double the food and so many beautiful traditions to enjoy..
It’s such a joy to meet different people, taste different flavors & live in this mix of love and diversity ✨

If I show this to my kids, they’ll all fight over who gets to try it first haha. 

It was super popular in Korea about 20 years ago, and they even came out with DIY kits to use at home :) I got one out of curiosity, but it was a total fail. It was actually really hard haha.

“Henna” is the most common name.. but we call it “Marathondi”..

It was popular in Korea too! There, it’s called henna.
I didn’t get such elaborate designs, but I’ve tried writing short phrases with it :)
