Best full dish was pepián! it's a mayan-rooted stew that's really rich and earthy. It's usually made with some kind of meat but my homestay fam is all veggie and it was still delicious (though I bet when it's cooked with meat fats it's extra rich) But in general all the fruits and veggies here are incredible so I've gotten tons of fresh fruit salads every morning alongside locally grown coffee and corn tortillas topped with queso, beans, and avocado

the coffee here is completely world class, the economy is doing well enough that the beans from local farms can actually stay and be roasted in the city (as well as being shipped world wide) so you get some of the freshest, highest quality coffee in the world at any of the local cafes my favorite of that was a gesha grown on the slopes of the volcan de fuego which had the most fruity complexity of any gesha I've tried
