Is older or newer content better for organic traffic?

They say older content gains history and backlinks and tends to do well as your rankings climb slowly over time.

On the other hand, people say that fresh, new content ranks better, as no one wants to read articles that are years old.

Well, there’s a Goldilocks point where slightly aged content performs better.

Of course, every situation is different; you ideally want your content to be helpful and fresh enough that it is still relevant.
