As I spend a few days traveling, I’m well aware that planning a trip will be completely different in a few years. Right now it’s like building a playlist with flights, hotels, reviews, Reddit suggestions. Soon an AI agent will do it for me. The question is how to keep that agent from being tricked. Our entire model for digital trust is about to change.

Based take. Travel agents can trick you based on their commissions. Reviews can trick you based on well, payments to influencers. Basically, one can get tricked easily by SEO (and sites like google maps removing reviews when the owner reports). We are already seeing the rise of llm seo. We are just going to have to see if the machine without emotions are better than us at separating the wheat from the chaff.

I’m looking forward to this future, but man do we really need some good systems and trust in place to make it work properly.
