I have not seen or heard about Primal. lol. very funny name for a social network. in general, I think it's healthy for the major social networks to break in this way.

fair enough (and you're right - twitter as never really the public square - it in itself was a bubble of its own - always can see this from election results :P)

I think it was healthy to break up the idea that Twitter was *the* public square. partially because it never was but that was the idea that really made it have the impact that it did (in the way Josh outlines in this piece). more groups talking amongst themselves and taking responsibility for the space is good.
