Singapore's total population hits an ATH of 6.11 million (as at June 2025). Looks like we are on track to be within the infamous 2013 Population White Paper's projection of a total population size of 6.5-6.9 million by 2030. Probably best to compare with other cities rather than countries. The demographics of cities like Dubai make ours look relatively normal haha. Dubai's population effectively doubled from around 2 mil in 2011 to around 4 mil this year, whereas we only grew by <20% in the same time period. And their proportion of non-residents in their population is way more skewed (non-Emiratis make up ~92% of the population of Dubai in 2024).

True. I think dubai might not be the best comparator tho, think it's quite an outlier?
