We made it to the weekend! Time for another one of my “Landscape Stories”: a photograph accompanied by a creative narrative.
This story, entitled “March of the Sea Stars”, attempts to draw you into the same scene, but from this little sea creature’s perspective.
MARCH OF THE SEA STARS
What appears as a static scene
Is a slow-motion race against death
This echinodermal traffic jam
Moves more slowly than a snail’s pace
Yet these sea stars are clambering over rock, mussel, and kin
In dire haste to reach the sea
Before they meet their end
By air or hunter
Or the thoughtlessly quizzical
