We run TEEs to verify @t1protocol state to L1 within a single L1 block. TEE + ZKP takes ~1 hour to finalize, which is too long for cross-chain applications to function smoothly. TEE + crypto-economic security + periodic ZKP can offer similar security guarantees while still
