A London gang was convicted for kidnapping Belgian barber Quentin Cepeljac after he falsely claimed online to be a crypto millionaire. 

The group lured him on promises of luxury but ambushed him, only to find his wallet had just $9. 😭

They instead withdrew $2,700 from his bank and released him.


The case highlights the dangers of flaunting (or faking) crypto wealth on social media, with "wrench attacks" - physical threats and assaults on perceived crypto holders - on the rise in the crypto scene.
