When plants collect solar energy and transform that energy into plant metabolites they become generous…

When all is well they’ll share some of this bounty with the rhizosphere, sharing sugars and goodies with the surrounding soil biology.  

You can see this with aggregation around the roots, only naked roots is the very new growth, where the flywheel hasn’t started to become apparent.

These microbes in turn mobilize minerals and nutrients, that can then feed the plant.

Didn’t really catch more than a very light shower between Saturday evening and tonight.  Lettuce sea happy as, few more days of building the below ground foundation and then they’ll start directing energy to more expansive top growth.

Nature is a beautiful design; we just get to provide the conditions for it to showcase its transformation.
