j ust caught up with a friend I haven’t seen in 2 years. we discussed a belief that many people here will disagree with — that AI might destroy the next generation. AI is great for writing a boring email to IT. but thanking a professor? apologizing to a friend? telling someone that you love them? maybe the real edge now is learning when not to use AI. thinking critically and writing originally. some things are worth doing by hand.

Youths don’t know how to read in third person anymore, yet Alpha, the private school that only uses AI to teach, is recording a jump of 2 years in the students’ achievements (by USA standards). AI is simply a tool as good as the wielder 🤷
