i need to take @pichi's playbook and try a few things.. like if i keep commenting on peoples posts and they never interact back with me. I need to mute them and move on, it is not worth it for me to interact if they are never going to interact back. a lot of people do well on the platform because they have been elevated or are paraded by the right people. More people need to draw those boundaries and dont give attention if it isnt given back @jacque posits if it is better if you dont follow someone and engage with them, or is it necessary to follow them as well? when it comes to the algo and being seen and going up the leaderboard, what do you think would help more. we have seen some good experiments like the one with @alinaferry and @mvr -- if you wanna do well on the leaderboard (the less followers you have and the most powerful accounts interacting will get you a lot of points. if you wanna develop relationships that is a different thing.

honestly, much of the time I feel like I am screaming into the void. I really do wonder how the algo works and if it now penalises the ones without the pro account

i dont believe the algo itself penalizes us, but developers are incentivized to target pro users-- so there is some bias building. with that said I am not planning to buy pro anytime soon and I will be watching to see how my engagement continues, I feel the algo took a turn this past week but not just effecting me, I have seen pro users note a change as well.
