In 2018, the famous British artist Banksy sold one of his most iconic artworks, "Girl with Balloon", at a major auction. The painting sold for $1.4 million, and everyone was applauding...
When suddenly, right in front of everyone’s eyes, the artwork started shredding itself from inside the frame!
A hidden shredder was built into the frame, and as soon as the sale was finalized, it activated and partially shredded the piece.
The auction house was shocked, the audience stunned, and Banksy commented:
“The urge to destroy is also a creative urge.”
Later, the half-shredded piece was given a new name:
"Love is in the Bin"
And interestingly, despite being “damaged,” its value skyrocketed. In 2021, it sold again for $25 million!
A piece that was destroyed... became the next masterpiece.
In the world of art, sometimes destroying is a form of creating. 6 replies

Music, as an art form, doesn't have a single inventor; it has evolved over thousands of years across various cultures. The origins of music can be traced back to prehistoric times, with early humans creating sounds using natural objects. Over centuries, different civilizations, such as the Sumerians, Greeks, and Egyptians, contributed to the development of musical theory and instruments. In Western music, figures like Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart played significant roles in shaping classical music. Today, music continues to evolve with influences from diverse genres and cultures worldwide. 0 reply
