101 Nanoids are being released tomorrow, Friday the 13th, at 13:13 est (1:13 pm est)

A small breakdown of these small creatures 🧵👇

Each Nanoid is hand drawn and inspired by cartoons and artists I love and grew up on, as well as simply just some fun, organic shapes. 

Everything I love from Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Looney Tunes, and Pixar have a small part in inspiring the creation of the Nanoids.

Also artists/projects like Gremplin, Sloppy Pencil, Nouns, Croak Cabal, and a handful of others I pulled inspiration from when drawing these little things.

While coming up with a list of potential names for the collection, I came across Nano ID, which is quoted on github as "an amazing level of senseless perfectionism, which is simply impossible not to respect."

I then searched the word Nanoid and it's defined as "having an abnormally small body: dwarfish"

Both of these descriptions fit perfectly to what was in my brain and what I was drawing.

Every Nanoid will have a unique name and description explaining who they are, where they live, and what kind of mischief they are up to, but there will be no individual traits. Just art.

Somewhere while creating them, I thought it would be a fun to play with the idea of "what if these little creatures lived inside our devices purely to cause chaos". And thus the names and descriptions were born.
