In Okinawa, Japan -- there's a concept called "moai" refers to a social support group, often consisting of 5-7 friends, that provides mutual support and encouragement throughout life. They start as strangers and grow to become like family. I think this is something we need as humans so I created a beta for a digital version of this. If you want to try it and get added into a random group of strangers to become life-long supportive friends you can now do so. https://moaichat.com It's free. It's encrypted so only your group can read what you share. It's likely full of bugs and missing features but a way to connect is there. You can be anonymous if you want -- but if you use it -- be real. Abuse tools will come in soon to safeguard against trolls but I hope it can help make sure everyone who feels like they've got 'no one' can still have a group of people. If you join and there's no one in your group -- when more people join they'll fall into your group so hang tight. it's starting small.
