If this uses trends.google.com its displaying relative search query volume, which is more akin to popularity.
Example:
House of Dragon's peak search popularity during the week of Aug 21 is ~50% as popular as Dahmer during the week of Sep 25th.
Not exactly viewership, but an OK proxy for it.
