President Trump just fired two board members at the National Credit Union Administration in his latest attack on consumers. Yet another attempt by Trump to skirt the rule of law, undermine independent agencies, and illegally purge the government of those working for Americans.

Actually, the NCUA board members serve at the pleasure of the President, and Trump’s move is legal under the Federal Credit Union Act. These agencies aren’t above accountability. If they’re pushing Biden-era policies, they’re not “independent”, they’re just unelected activists in
